One of the greatest feelings in life is waking up in the morning and being happy to go to work. Not often do people admit or even realise they love their job and some people spend their whole lives searching, but never quite manage to find happiness. That’s why I consider myself to be one of the lucky ones. In an ever-changing, fast-paced working environment with a great workplace culture, HTG has provided me with a platform to be inspired.
Not a Morning Person?
One of the scariest things about modern working society is that it’s becoming acceptable to wake up in the morning without any enthusiasm and merely go through the motions of the day. It’s one thing to see Monday’s negatively portrayed wherever you look, but some of the solemn faces I see on the train to work in the morning are astonishing.
My last job was at a prestige car dealership. With the love I have for cars, anyone would think it was a match made in heaven. This wasn’t the case at all. It wasn’t until I began at HTG that I noticed just how unhappy I was before. Without the right workplace culture, or a working environment where staff are encouraged to learn and grow, I was at serious risk of becoming another solemn face on the train.
Wake Up Enthusiastic!
At HTG, I now find myself waking up every morning feeling excited and energised. One reason I look forward to going to work is the telecommunications industry is quite exciting and fast-paced. However, the main factor is the people.
I’m amazed by the people I get to work with. I’ve only been here for such a short time, but I can honestly say it’s those around me that make my day special. It’s refreshing to see and be around happy people, who are all willing to help at any point in time. Work friends feel more like family members, and I can honestly say I get along very well with every person I’ve met so far.
I’ve loved every minute of my time here so far, and I can’t wait to continue my time with this incredible group of people. Thank you all!
